I saw Bill Brasky enter the ring as a Lvl 1 Ascended Pre-Searing Warrior with no Armor on while Free Sheets to the Wind on Dwarven Ale that he had squeezed from the Kidney of a Stone Summit Axe-Wielder. He had no teammates and no weapons, so he pulled off his own leg and beat the opposing monk to death with it, while simultaneously spitting in the Eyes of the opposing warrior, blinding him, who then proceeded to trip over the Mesmer knocking both to the ground and crushing the wittle purple guy. The Elementalist, shocked by the Fury of Bill Braskys' Ire, spontaneously combusted; all the while screaming for Bill to impregnate her. By this time, the warrior, who was brushing the Mesmer guts off him, tried to run, but Bill plucked out the eyes of the dead monk and hurled them through the back of the guy's fissure helm, knocking him stone cold.

It was all over in 6.3 seconds....

People might get talked about for a few seconds in town, but i highly doubt any single player will be 'famous'. I agree with those who said holding the hall beacuse there are many names i remember from that, besides that I dont think so.

Hardest part of gaining infamy (or fame) is that caused by instanced playing. In WoW, you're seeing other players all the time even when you're out adventuring. Ignoring the popularity of the solo-farming builds, that means the chances of Avg Joe interacting with a soon to be famour person are fairly slim.

You gain more notice in Guildwars for forum posting then you do for playing. Thank god observer mode and the championships will help change that a little.

from a pvpers standpoint,

some names you may not know of...

heavy tengu armor "lvl 2 tengu lfg" but really he is well above r10.
also a former sB.

C V T former marvel superhero member, i cant stand this guy, but im sure some of us more active high rank pvpers know this guy. he was the proffesional spirit spammer.

Zao Yun.... perhaps one of the best pvp'ers guildwars has seen. he got his rank 9 during the spirit spamming days without joining or forming a spirit spam team. this guy tombed with 2 war/rangers (axe) , 2 emo smiters , 1 tainted/putrid necro and the usual 2 healers and 1 prot. that was his fancy.
btw, this guy is korean.

~ ive played with him many times back when he use to tomb.

teh bible.....also a former sB member, im sure this name rings a bell for all of you veteran pvpers.

as for pve, i have no clue really, the only tims i pve is.......
ill get back to you on that one.

rank 6 is 1000 fame, unless they changed it.....

so 896 would put you at rank 5.

Maybe on american servers... If you go onto european ones and you ask if they know who LBS is, the only ones that do are the ones that visit guildwarsguru..

very true...LBS may be famous on american servers, but unless a player is a customer or affiliated with LBS, non US servers will probably will not know who she is

yo, power and pRp and monkey are going to get nerfed in a week or so. once ranger spike is gone, they are incapable of running anything else. they are kind of well known for being disliked. not because theyre bad people or anything, but because they run a build which takes little to no skill and run nothing but that constantly (kind of like iway, huh?).

anyway, i would say that the most famous person in guild wars is IAN BOYD. MASTER STRATEGIST.
